Carnatic Progressive Fusion Band
Where Indian Classical Roots Meet Contemporary Sounds
Experience the Vibrant Fusion of Indian Classical and Modern Sounds
Project Mishram pioneers a seamless blend of traditional Indian classical melodies with modern rhythms, creating an innovative musical journey that celebrates cultural heritage while embracing contemporary sounds.
“After several listens to the six-track record, you know that unpredictability is a badge that Project MishraM wear proudly, whether they’re sprinting between hip-hop and metal on “Loco Coko,” improvising konnakol vocals over a glorious horn section on “Nivaasa” or stomping around with impunity on groove-laden tracks like “Sakura” and “Kanakana.”

Meso, or “middle” was the name we landed on when we had to reach middle ground while trying to name an album that had no common ground to begin with.
From a song inspired off a cup of filter coffee to a song based on changing seasons, to our own gut-punch reimagination of an ancient Carnatic composition, each song uses different soundscapes and core ideas, with little to no regard for coherence across the tracks.
The absence of a single thread across our songs ended up being the glue that held it together. Mishram’s target aesthetic all along is that there is none.

Soha Ali Khan, Indian film actress

“This is the talent that India is proud of. This is the talent that the world will watch. Talent meets creativity, meets innovation, and the youth. You are the colors of youth!”
Neeti Mohan, Playback Singer

“This is such a beautiful blend of our culture. You put up this performance which is beyond my imagination. This is what dancers want to do, these kinds of collaborations. I don’t have much to say but I can do this (gives a standing ovation – at Maruti Suzuki Colors of Youth S7)”
Shakti Mohan, Contemporary Dancer
“Absolutely Unreal!!
Vishal Dadlani, Singer & Composer

“This is so much talent at a such young age. India has so much talent it’s just that you need to know what to do with it. They are not doing it for the sake of doing it. They know it! They have used it well. They have arranged it well. People just jam and that’s not arrangement. The arrangement is the key to any band and its nice to see good talent”
